I heard about Southern Alps when I was searching on the net for possible teaching positions overseas. Southern Alps made the process of getting my position positively painless. Sure, I had to fill out registration forms, update my passport and all that jazz, but no more than I would have for any other job application. Trust me its worth all the effort.

I have now been in England for 21/2 months and have settled in with ease. The teaching staff has been wonderfully supportive, and adjusting to life in England was a lot easier than I thought. Although homesick at first, and a bit 'carsick" (as the cars travel in the opposite direction) I adjusted quite easily. I do suggest, however, that you always look out for number # 1, wherever you travel. Don't let any one sell you short. Don't let anyone give you a run for your money. In other words, don't be afraid to ask questions. In fact, get in the habit of it, especially if you're lost. Be resourceful!

I've always wanted to travel and teach, and Southern Alps has made it happen. At first I hesitated thinking things like: " I can't afford it " or " its not the right time for me". Well I am here to tell you folks, no time is the right time. So, if I may quote one of the world's largest sports conglomerates, " Just do it ! ". Everything will fall into place. And remember, all you    ' budget minded' worriers, money is not an issue! Like most recent graduates I too have a student loan. Contrary to what some may think, student loans are quite manageable, especially if you are earning £s. Don't hesitate. Travelling and teaching is possible! And you deserve it !

Before I go I would just like to express my gratitude toward Southern Alps for their professionalism, support , and for giving me the chance to experience the world while working. Thank-you Southern Alps !
